Answer(s):

Facebook is experimentally launching a new tool called the Data Portability Tool. Image transfer can be directly transferred to Google Photos through this tool.

Using the tool, the Facebook image will be uploaded directly to Google Photos. No need to download photos individually and place them in Google Photos. The data portability tool is being run in Ireland from Monday.

Some changes will be made to the tool according to user feedback. The tool will be fully launched in the first part of 2020. Policy makers in the United States and Europe pressured Facebook not to provide users with all information.

Because of this pressure, Facebook decided to launch the image transfer tool by participating in the open-source data transfer project. Other participants in the project are Apple, Google, Microsoft and Twitter.

Facebook has said that - even if Google launches a data transfer project through Google Photos, this tool may be used on other platforms in the future. They discussed with policy makers, regulatory bodies and academics in the UK, Germany, Brazil and Singapore about what kind of data can be transferred to other platforms.
