Brexit: The changes that are coming to the UK tonight

Britain is coming out of the European Union today after a long process. According to the announcement, the separation took effect on Friday night, January 31 at 11 a.m. Friday. This is changing a lot in the UK.
However, the next 11 months will be considered as a transitional period or transitional period. During this period, the UK will be respectful of EU law and pay the EU.

The changes that will result from the separation -

1. UK MPs will lose membership of European Parliament
The European Parliament had 73 members from the UK, including faces like Nigel Farage and Ann Widdecombe. As Brexit comes into effect, they will lose their membership. Because the UK is leaving the EU's political institutions and agencies at the same time.
In the meantime, the UK will be respectful of EU laws and the European Court of Justice will continue to provide final opinion on legal issues.

2. No more at EU meetings
British ministers will no longer be able to attend regular European Union meetings. If UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson wants to attend the European Union Council Summit in the future, he will need a special invitation.

3. The UK may set new rules for trade
Being a member of the European Union could not hold formal trade talks with countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States or Australia. But now the UK can start negotiations with any country in the world to set new rules for selling their products and services or buying them.

Supporters of Brexit say freedom to set their own trade policies will strengthen the UK economy.

4. Change the color of the passport
Nearly thirty years later, the blue colored passport will return to the United Kingdom. Announcing the change in 2017, then-Minister of Immigration Brandon Lewis spoke of bringing back the country's traditional blue and gold design passports.
The first use of this passport began in 1921. However, the current passport will also be valid.

5. Brexit coins are coming
The UK will release new coins to commemorate Brexit. About 1 lakh special coins will arrive on January 31 and write 'Peace, Propriety and Friendship with All Nations'.

However, there has been mixed reaction around these coins. One party has already announced they will boycott the coin. The government is planning to bring another coin of the same type, which will be mentioned on October 31, the date on which the Brexit act was in fact.

6. The Brexit Department will close
The section that the UK had negotiated with Brexit for the European Union would be closed. The department was launched in 2016 under former Prime Minister Teresa May. In the days ahead, the UK Negotiation Team will be based in Downing Street, the Prime Minister's Office.

7. Barriers to return the criminal from Germany
If a suspected criminal escapes from the UK and takes refuge in Germany, the UK will not be able to return him. Because the citizens of a country other than the European Union have no chance of extradition, according to the German constitution. However, the UK Home Office says the application of a European arrest warrant or arrest warrant will continue until the interim.

The things that won't change -

A. Travel
In the interim (11 months) UK citizens will be able to stand on the European Union lines while traveling.

B. Driving License and Pet Passport

The validity of UK citizens' driving licenses and patent passports will continue in the EU.

C. European health insurance card
With this card, citizens of the United Kingdom receive health care in the state in case of illness or accident. The benefits of this will continue.

D. Living and working in the European Union
In the interim (11 months) freedom of movement will continue. So UK citizens can continue living and working in EU countries. Citizens of other EU countries will receive the same benefits in the UK.

E. Pension
Citizens of the UK residing in other European Union countries will receive state pension benefits.

F. Contribution to the budget
The UK will also contribute in the interim (11 months) to the EU budget. However, this will no longer be an obligation.

G. Trade
EU trade with the UK will continue. No new charges will be imposed.
