Top rich Bezos who want to do for the world

Jeff Bezos, CEO of the world's richest Amazon, has set the goal of making the world more resilient. He has promised that by 2020 his organization will be completely eliminated from carbon emissions. As part of this work, he will use one million electric delivery vans for Amazon instead of conventional cars. He will buy the electric car from his invested startup company.

For a company like Amazon, reducing carbon emissions is a big challenge. Because the company transports more than 3 billion products per year using large cargo.

"We know we can do it," Bezos said. We have to do it. '

Bezos spoke of Amazon's program at a news conference in Washington ahead of Climate Week in New York.

Bezos says Amazon will achieve its goal a decade before the Paris climate agreement targets.

On the 27th, the Trump administration announced the withdrawal of the Paris climate agreement.

Amazon's chief executive said he will order electric cars from Rivian Automotive, a US startup. By 20 percent, 100 percent will use renewable energy. Now his organization uses 3 percent renewable energy.

Investors in Rivion include Amazon and Ford Motors. Electric vans made from this company will begin transporting Amazon products by mid-2020. One lakh cars will be built by 2021.

Bezos also said his organization would invest $ 1 million in forest protection and new forestry.

Bezos said CEOs of other organizations are also working to move forward to contribute to climate change.

According to Rivian, the electric cars produced by them will reduce the emissions of 100,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide by the way.

Over the past several months, several Amazon employees have been pushing Amazon to take a role in preventing climate change. References: Reuters.
