Facebook announces a tough fight to stop fake news

Facebook has announced a fight to prevent fake news, adding more importance to users in the Asia Pacific region.

The launch of the APAC Press Day at the regional office of Facebook in Singapore on Monday highlighted the organization's mission in front of journalists in the region. Dan Neary, Vice President of Facebook for Asia Pacific.

Dan Neary said, “We started working on a few specific goals. These tasks include election protection in the Asia Pacific region. We are working on machine learning and AI to protect privacy as well as identify bad content. The next step is to fight fake information and news. I am working to provide privacy transparency and control to Facebook users. As a tech and innovative organization, the product of portal, Oculus system will be created. '

Dan Neary predicts that VR will be mainstream. That's why Facebook is now emphasizing VR and content. Beyond the messaging and dating site, the company is moving forward.

The program also discussed the Libra coin and pay system on Facebook. It is said to increase this facility in Asia region.

Beyond that, small entrepreneurs are asked to increase their investment in Facebook.

Facebook officials say more investment is needed to prevent harassment on Facebook.

During the APAC press day, the sessions discussed various areas of Facebook's business expansion and innovation.
